Human Resources Generalist

Clay Lacy Aviation is looking for a strong, highly experienced Human Resources Generalist for our full-service FBO at Van Nuys airport and Oxford Connecticut airport. Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist reports to the Human Resources Manager and is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with employees at all levels of the organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and employment law compliance. Adheres and promotes the Clay Lacy Vision, Mission, and Values daily.

Responsibilities

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Acts as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.
  • Collect and analyze human resources data, and make recommendations for changes to management.
  • Design and execute human resources policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and guide recruiting and employee relations processes.
  • Administer employee compensation, training and benefits programs.
  • Partner with business leaders to increase employee engagement.
  • Observes and administers company rules and regulations and safety policy and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work a later schedule consisting of a 9:00 am to 10:00 am start time.

 

Education

A bachelor’s degree and three to five years’ human resource experience, or seven years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.

PHR or SPHR preferred

 

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience.
