Clay Lacy Aviation is looking for a strong Accounts Payable Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4+ years’ experience at a medium to large company, strong AP background and Great Plains software experience, Corridor Software is a plus.  The candidate will have experience with complex accounts payable processing, including inventory and 3-way match, large number of transactions, credit cards, multiple lines of business, integrated systems, and employee supervision.

Position Summary

The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee staff in the overall daily operations of the Accounts Payable Department for all aspects of expense and other payables, coordinate modification testing and implementation to accounts payable systems; provide support to external auditors; and initiate and implement improvements to processes. The manager and team will complete month-end close, reconciliations, and reconciliation of related accounts.  The role will be responsible for reporting of Key Performance indicators as developed.

  • Oversee all daily accounts payable functions and supervise departmental personnel, in all aspects of accounts payable, including vouching invoices, 3-way match for maintenance, credit card activity, and monitoring expense reports and petty cash. Includes preparation and filing of required reports, including 1099’s, and payments to all vendors, organizations, and employees; as well as assigning and prioritizing tasks as defined by the Corporate Controller.
  • Process disbursements, ACH & Wire transfers on banking site. (international/domestic)
  • Maintain collections spreadsheet for contractor reimbursement of training.
  • Supervise, train, and develop accounts, payable staff.
  • Identify and coordinate process improvement initiatives and monitor controls within functional areas.  Escalate and resolve issues proactively.
  • Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintain accurate records and control reports.
  • Manage monthly closing of AP ledger and reconcile clearing accounts.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems procedures and policies around accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
  • Additional duties as assigned


Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred but not required.


Five to seven years of accounts payable experience and a minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience required.  Aviation experience preferred but not required.

  • Proficiency in Great Plains is highly preferred and Corridor experience is a plus.
