Position Summary

Clay Lacy Aviation manages a large fleet of private jets, providing all services necessary to safely maintain aircraft and enable aircraft owners to travel around the globe. The Analyst, Business Operations, will assume responsibility for new aircraft introduction into the Company’s software systems and billing schedules; analysis of aircraft management agreements; all invoicing including flight crews, maintenance staff, oversight fees, and hangar rentals; maintenance of flight crew members in Company software systems and billing schedules; analysis of payroll and production of associated reporting.

The Analyst will work with multiple software platforms to achieve objectives and will be expected to enhance both current operating procedures and software capabilities. A high level of personal integrity is required as the Analyst bears responsibility for the fair and equitable treatment of aircraft owners as well as the Company’s financial interests. Successful candidates will possess excellent analytical skills along with a thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

  • Set up new aircraft and associated staff in Company software programs and spreadsheets
  • Analyze aircraft management agreements and resolve issues with Aircraft Managers
  • Invoice owners for flight crews, maintenance staff, oversight fees, hangar rentals, crew bonuses
  • Ensure all aircraft-related revenues and expenses are properly allocated
  • Reconcile flight crew and maintenance staff compensation to owner invoices
  • Reconcile variances in flight crew compensation between payroll periods
  • Maintain financial control over all changes to managed aircraft and associated staff
  • Reconciliation of multiple aircraft-related revenue streams
  • Reconcile company payroll and resolve issues with the Payroll department
  • Maintain close working relationships with Aircraft Managers, Financial Analysts, HR, and Payroll
  • Attend aircraft Onboarding meetings to stay abreast of all changes in CLA’s fleet
  • Assist in ongoing process improvement initiatives for accounting software and procedures
  • Provide high-quality reporting and analysis sufficient to identify problems; present solutions; support business decisions
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience

4 to 5+ years of relevant experience

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains or a similar ERP program
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Aviation industry experience would be helpful but not required
