Financial Analyst, Managed Aircraft Revenue

Position Summary

The Specialist will assume responsibility for new aircraft introduction into the Company’s software systems and billing schedules; monthly invoicing of aircraft owner flight crews and maintenance staff, oversight fees, and hangar rentals; maintenance of flight crew members in employee expense report software; calculation of monthly Charter sales commissions; bi-monthly reconciliation of payroll and production of associated reporting; work with multiple software platforms to achieve objectives; enhance current procedures; develop new reports and analysis; advance current software capabilities; work with all staff levels to achieve the desired results.

A high level of personal integrity is required as the Specialist bears responsibility for fair and equitable treatment of aircraft owners and for the Company’s financial interests.  Successful candidates will possess excellent analytical skills along with a thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

  • Set up new aircraft in Company software programs & spreadsheets
  • Analyze aircraft management agreements
  • Resolve any questions or issues with management agreements
  • Monthly billing of flight crews, oversight fees and hangar rentals
  • Annual billing of flight crew bonus payments
  • Confirm new & departing crew members are properly invoiced
  • Confirm new & departing aircraft are properly invoiced
  • Reconciliation of monthly revenue streams
  • Addition of crew members to expense report software
  • Maintain close working relationships with Aircraft Managers, Maintenance controllers, HR & Payroll
  • Attend aircraft Onboarding meetings in order to stay abreast of all changes in CLA’s fleet
  • Reconcile payments to 3rd party vendors providing hangars for use of CLA aircraft owners
  • Assist in calculation of monthly Charter sales commissions
  • Reconcile bi-monthly company payroll & resolve issues with the Payroll department
  • Confirm Aircraft Manager commissions are allocated to the correct aircraft
  • Reconcile flight crew expense variances between payroll periods
  • Reconcile flight crew compensation to owner invoices
  • Assist in ongoing process improvement initiatives for Accounting software and procedures
  • Provide high-quality reporting & analysis sufficient to identify problems; present solutions; support business decisions
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Manager

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience: 

4 – 5 years of relevant experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative & work independently
  • Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains or a similar ERP program
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Aviation industry experience will be very helpful but is not required
