In-Flight Services Ground Coordinator | Van Nuys, CA

Position Summary

  • Fulltime, 100% On-site position
  • Compensation: Hourly Rate $20.00 – $23.50

The Ground Coordinators are a central part of the In-Flight Services Team.  This high-profile team serves as a primary support system for cabin/flight crew, aircraft management, and various departments within Clay Lacy Aviation. The Ground Coordinator’s demeanor should reflect the quality of Clay Lacy Aviation to our guests and flight crew with a positive attitude. The ideal candidate will also be goal-oriented, proactive, and enjoy a customer-centric culture.

Responsibilities

  • Assist flight/cabin crew with all in-flight related services to ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain In-Flight Services Store by shopping for necessary items, rotating and organizing all amenities.
  • Aircraft Audit – Check aircraft for expired stock, and the organization of spaces, and ensure cleanliness. Report all interior blemishes to appropriate parties.
  • Aircraft Duties – Assist with taking initial/departing aircraft inventory. Keep assigned aircraft diagrams up to date.
  • Aircraft Weight and Balance assistance – offload/load loose items and weigh inventory.
  • Ensure all storage areas including aircraft lockers and cages are organized.
  • Assist with internal meeting/event setup as well as stock and organize meeting/event rooms.
  • Cross-train with Line Service, Customer Service Representatives, and Concierge.
  • Assist our Marketing department with staging aircraft for photoshoots.
  • Handle any last-minute needs for our Charter department, client visits, and aircraft displays.
  • Liaison between flight/cabin crew and dry-cleaning vendor ensuring all aircraft dry-cleaning orders are complete.
  • Monitor and respond to incoming email requests.
  • Meet and greet transient guests.
  • Shop for and prepare flower arrangements.
  • Assist in cleaning and wiping down common workstations and supporting Facility Department.
  • Knowledge of Clay Lacy Aviation operations.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Associate degree preferred.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service-related experience. One year of aviation client relations experienced preferred.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Must have and maintain a valid California Driver’s License along with a reliable vehicle. Restricted licenses are NOT acceptable for employment at Clay Lacy.
  • Food Handler’s Permit
  • Available to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Comfortable with working outdoors, day, night, and in all weather conditions.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Discretion of confidential information.
