Position Summary

The Maintenance Planner/Coordinator reports to the Operations Manager of MRO Services and is responsible for the planning and scheduling of maintenance events; produces service quotes and maintenance proposals.

  • Evaluates projected scope of work to ensure that appropriate ratings, tooling, and capabilities are in place.
  • Works directly with the sales and procurement manager to manage scheduled work packages in collaboration with the floor supervisor to completion.
  • Assembles work packages to best suit the client need and manage the availability of OEM Service Bulletins as applicable.
  • Manages schedule to ensure that data, material, tooling and personnel are available when required.
  • Ensures adequate housing is available when performing work at another location.
  • Collaborates with air carrier to ensure documentation, training, approvals are in place prior to performing work.
  • Reviews operator requirements prior to input.
  • Documents operators’ operating rules on Aircraft Work Authorization.
  • Communicates with customers, vendors and other managers to support customer needs as required.
  • Monitors work in progress and communicate problem areas.
  • Schedules and Chairs pre-arrival and planning meeting on collaboration with Sales and floor operations.
  • Plans for all Material required in preparation for the proposed project.
  • Maintains the ability and authorization to conduct 145 release of aircraft in work.
  • Collaborates or participates in material procurement during the pre-planning phase to ensure timely arrival of all ordered material and aircraft parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager of MRO or Accountable Executive.
  • Evaluate, process, format and distribute maintenance quotes.
  • Manages tool calibration and compliance
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.


2 years of experience in corporate aviation preferred.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with management, peers and external parties.
  • Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows/Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work flow as well as multi-task.
  • Ability to handle sensitive documents in a very confidential manner.
  • Ability to take initiative and execute assigned tasks in a timely and flawless manner.
  • Strong teamwork acumen with a profound ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to screen calls, manage calendars, and arrange meetings.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager of MRO Services.
  • Must be able to pass drug screening and background checks.
