Doug Wilson

Doug Wilson serves as Vice President of Business Development at Clay Lacy Aviation, where he leads the company’s hangar sales and Fixed Base Operator (FBO) growth initiatives. He identifies, evaluates and adds to the company’s FBO and real estate portfolio, determining new locations for the CLA FBO network. He is responsible for growing and securing tenant and lease agreements throughout the network, working directly with location general managers.

Doug brings more than two decades of leadership in business aviation, with expertise in FBO operations, customer service, safety, training, airport and community relations, and strategic development. He has provided expert advisory services to FBOs and investors on a broad range of topics including hangar development, pricing models, service standards, transactional due diligence, and operational performance. Throughout his career, Doug has managed full P&L responsibilities, developed national training programs, and directed integration efforts across domestic and international aviation facilities. 

A private pilot, aircraft owner, and published industry contributor, Doug has written extensively on FBO management, airport development, and sustainability. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Christopher Newport University and maintains memberships with the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA).
