We’re making these updates as new data protection regulations (GDPR) come into effect in the European Union, and we’re taking the opportunity to make improvements for Clay Lacy clients around the world.

1. About Us

Founded in 1968 by legendary aviator and industry pioneer Clay Lacy. Today, Clay Lacy Aviation is considered the world’s most experienced operator of private jets. Prominent individuals and leading corporations trust Clay Lacy for aircraft management, charter, maintenance, avionics, interiors and FBO services. The company has aircraft operations and regional offices across the U.S., including FBOs at Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles and Seattle’s Boeing Field, and FAA repair stations in Van Nuys, Seattle and San Diego. With the most knowledgeable team in the industry, Clay Lacy delivers superior safety, service and value to aircraft owners and jet travelers worldwide.

2. Terminology

In this privacy policy, these terms have the following meanings:

“Client” means any person or entity who has shared personal information with us to use our services.

“Visitor” means any person who visits any of our Websites.

“you” and “your” means, depending on the context, either a Client, or a Visitor.

“Personal Information” means any information that identifies or can be used to identify a Client, or a Visitor, directly or indirectly. Examples of Personal Information include, but are not limited to, first and last name, email address, phone number, employers name, aircraft information, occupation, or other demographic information.

“Website(s)” means any website(s) we own and operate (such as www.claylacy.com) or any web pages, interactive features, applications, widgets, blogs, social networks, social network “tabs,” or other online, mobile, or wireless offerings that post a link to this privacy policy.

3. Types of Data We Collect

Website Cookies
Like most websites, our Websites use cookies to collect information. Cookies are small data files which are placed on your computer or other devices (such as smartphones or tablets) as you browse our Websites. They are used to remember when your computer or device accesses our Websites. Cookies are essential for the effective operation of our Websites and to help you submit inquiries online. They are also used to tailor the products and services offered and advertised to you, both on our Websites and elsewhere. The information we collect includes information about browsing and inquiry behavior by Visitors, which includes information about pages viewed, inquiries sent and the Visitor journey around our websites.

Google Analytics
When someone visits our Websites, we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. Mailing Lists
As part of the registration process on our Websites, we collect Personal Information. We use that Personal Information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about products and services you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade our email lists with other organizations and businesses. We use a third-party provider, Pardot to deliver information to you. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our communications. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing us at marketing@claylacy.com.

In the course of operating our business, we may collect Personal Information about you from the following sources:

  • From applications or other forms we receive from you or your authorized representative;
  • From your transactions with, or from the services being performed by Clay Lacy Aviation, our  affiliates, or others working with Clay Lacy Aviation;
  • From our internet website;
  • From consumer or other reporting agencies.

Clay Lacy Aviation’s Policies Regarding the Protection of the Confidentiality and Security of Your Personal Information  We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access or intrusion. We limit access to the Personal Information only to those employees who need such access in connection with providing our services to you or for other necessary business purposes.

We may share your Personal Information with our affiliates, such as insurance companies, agents, and other service providers.  In addition, we will disclose your Personal Information when you direct or give us permission or when we are required by law to do so.   Clay Lacy Aviation may also disclose your Personal Information when otherwise permitted by applicable privacy laws such as, for example, when disclosure is needed to enforce our rights arising out of any agreement, transaction or relationship with you.

Applicable Laws and Export Control. Clay Lacy Aviation controls and operates this Website from its location in the United States. All content and materials of this Website are protected by copyrights, trademarks or other proprietary rights of Clay Lacy Aviation or their respective owners as well as under any applicable laws and United States Government export control regulations. These terms of use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflicts of law rules. You expressly agree that the exclusive jurisdiction for any claim or action arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use or your use of this Website shall be filed only in the state or federal courts located in the State of California, and you further agree and submit to the exercise of personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purpose of litigating any such claim or action. Clay Lacy Aviation makes no representation that materials on this Website are appropriate or available for use in locations outside the United States, and accessing them from territories where their contents are illegal is prohibited. Those who choose to access this Website from outside the United States do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.
