We have updated our Privacy Policy to make it easier for you to understand what information we collect and why we collect it.

We are making these updates as new data protection regulations come into effect, including CPRA (California Privacy Rights Act) and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), and we’re taking the opportunity to make improvements to the collection, use, and protection of personal information of Clay Lacy clients around the world.

Prominent individuals and leading corporations trust Clay Lacy for aircraft management, charter, maintenance, avionics, interiors and FBO services. The company has aircraft operations and regional offices across the U.S., including full-service FBOs in Los Angeles and Orange County, and aircraft maintenance centers in Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, and Oxford, Connecticut. With the most knowledgeable team in the industry, Clay Lacy delivers superior safety, service and value to aircraft owners and jet travelers worldwide.

2. Terminology

In this privacy policy, these terms have the following meanings:

“Client” means any person or entity who has shared personal information with us to use our services.

“Visitor” means any person who visits any of our Websites.

“you” and “your” means, depending on the context, either a Client, or a Visitor.

“Personal Information” means any information that identifies or can be used to identify a Client, or a Visitor, directly or indirectly. Examples of Personal Information include, but are not limited to, first and last name, email address, phone number, employers name, aircraft information, occupation, or other demographic information.

“Sensitive Personal Information” means any information that is not publicly available and identifies or can be used to identify a Client, or a Visitor, directly or indirectly, to a higher degree of sensitivity and are generally considered as raising greater privacy risks if disclosed. Examples of Sensitive Personal Information include, but are not limited to, Driver’s license numbers, Social Security Numbers (SSN), Passport numbers, credit card information, or other sensitive personal information.

“Website(s)” means any website(s) we own and operate (such as www.claylacy.com) or any web pages, interactive features, applications, widgets, blogs, social networks, social network “tabs”, or other online, mobile, or wireless offerings that post a link to this privacy policy.

3. Types of Data We Collect

a. Website Cookies
Like most websites, our Websites use cookies to collect information. Cookies are small data files which are placed on your computer or other devices (such as smartphones or tablets) as you browse our Websites. They are used to remember when your computer or device accesses our Websites. Cookies are essential for the effective operation of our Websites and to help you submit inquiries online. They are also used to tailor the products and services offered and advertised to you, both on our Websites and elsewhere. The information we collect includes information about browsing and inquiry behavior by Visitors, which includes information about pages viewed, inquiries sent and the Visitor journey around our websites.

b. Google Analytics
When someone visits our Websites, we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. c. Mailing Lists & Web Form Submissions
As part of the registration process on our Websites, we collect Personal Information. We use that Personal Information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about products and services you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are correct; and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied with the services that we provide.

Clay Lacy Aviation does not rent, trade, or sell our email lists with other organizations and businesses. We use a third-party provider, Hubspot, to deliver information to you. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our communications. d. Additional
In the course of operating our business, we may collect Personal Information about you from publicly available sources, or the following sources:

  • From applications or other forms we receive from you or your authorized representative;
  • From your transactions with, or from the services being performed by Clay Lacy Aviation, our  affiliates, or others working with Clay Lacy Aviation;
  • From our internet website;
  • From consumer or other reporting agencies.

4. Protection, Confidentiality and Security of Your Personal Information

We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access or intrusion. We limit access to the Personal Information only to those employees who need such access in connection with providing our services to you or for other necessary business purposes.

We may share your Personal Information with our affiliates, such as insurance companies, contractors, agents, and other service providers. The information disclosed to them is for specified and limited purposes of providing the requested services to you or your aircraft. In addition, we will disclose your Personal Information when you direct or give us permission or when we are required by law to do so. Clay Lacy Aviation may also disclose your Personal Information when otherwise permitted by applicable privacy laws such as, for example, when disclosure is needed to enforce our rights arising out of any agreement, transaction or relationship with you.

a. Sale of Personal Information
Clay Lacy Aviation does not share or disclose personal information for monetary gain, or any other consideration of value, as defined in the CPRA, or for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Therefore, Clay Lacy Aviation does not offer an opt-out form from the sale of personal information, also known as a “Do Not Share My Personal Information” or “Do not Sell link”.

b. Opt out of Sharing Personal Information
As stated in section 4 introduction, Clay Lacy Aviation, may share your Personal Information with our affiliates. In compliance with new CPRA regulations, Clay Lacy Aviation offers the ability for you to “Opt out of Sharing Personal Information” via the form at the bottom of this page.

c. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
Clay Lacy Aviation does not use any technologies that provide automated decision-making and profiling, therefore, Clay Lacy Aviation does not offer a way for consumers to opt out of Automated Decision-Making and Profiling.

d. Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information
As stated in section 4 introduction, Clay Lacy Aviation, may share your Personal Information with our affiliates. In compliance with new CPRA regulations, Clay Lacy Aviation offers the ability for you to request Clay Lacy Aviation “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” via the form at the bottom of this page.

e. Request to Access Personal Information, Request a Correction, or Delete Your Personal Data
You have the ability to request access to all personal information collected by Clay Lacy Aviation beyond a 12-month look-back period, as well as correct and/or delete any inaccurate personal information held.
