Position Summary

The Clay Lacy Shuttle Driver will be responsible for assisting guests and employees with transport from our FBO to the maintenance hangar and vise vera. The driver will remain with the vehicle during their shift ready to take calls and pick up guests and employees at the designated area.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm (PST)
  • Compensation: $19.98 – $26.29/per hour; This position includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits.

The shuttle driver plays a significant role in the success of the company. They will interact with both internal and external clients on a daily basis while keeping safety in mind at all times. A warm welcome, smiling face, and professional demeanor are of the utmost importance.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome fellow employees and clients upon arrival and departure on shuttle
  • Keep cellphone on and charged at all times ready to receive transport requests
  • Greet guests by name when able to
  • Open and close doors for every customer upon arrival and departure on shuttle
  • Assist guests with luggage from vehicle and to vehicle as necessary.
  • Provide a self-reliant attitude when needed. Must be able to work with or without supervision.
  • Promote exceptional customer relations.
  • Smiles, goes above and beyond, makes customers feel they are receiving the best in class customer service.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have and maintain a clear and valid California Drivers License, restricted licenses are not valid for employment at Clay Lacy Aviation.
  • Ability to drive and maneuver a passenger van
  • Ability to pass the MVOP (test to drive on Van Nuys airport)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions with multiple objectives and implement in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Follow oral and written directions; plan and complete assigned duties on a regular schedule; and maintain good working relationships with others.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including overtime and holidays when required.
  • Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks including but not limited to: vehicle washing, vacuuming, and fueling.
  • Ability to work without direct management supervision.
  • Learn and comply with all safety and operating standards of vehicle and passenger safety.
  • Report all incidents and accidents and unsafe situations to the manager or supervisor immediately.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Must be comfortable with working outdoors, day, night and in all weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, squat, and lift objects throughout the shift
  • Ability to performs functions that require repetitive motions using hands, wrist, arms knees and/or legs
  • Good hand-eye coordination with good peripheral vision.

Experience/Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • CDL not required
  • Previous Client Services experience preferred.
